A yellow glow filled the scene as Shikamaru spoke bordly with Naruto and Hinata. Temari was watching Hatsune fondly from her position next to Shikamaru.
Her shouted squeals of delight rang through the field as she threw ken around like a rag doll trying to stop her best friend Hana from beating her.
“Hana I told you” Hatsune said exasperated and annoyed at her friend. “Women are strong and Nobel and men are weak” she stated mater-of-flatly.

  Hana nodded slowly and then stopped abruptly. “But, my Dad is really strong.”  The female Barbie in Hatsune’s  left hand was waved in Hana’s pale face.  Her pale lavender eyes followed it noticing the shape of it in the suns glow.  “So is my Mummy!” she said quickly smiling.  Hana nodded laughing and they ran after each other again.  Naruto looked at temari then down to her legs.  
Asuma had a hold of her long shirt and was glaring lazily at his older sister.  Considering his age he was very smart.  His sandy blonde hair fluffed violently around in the soft breeze as his eyes found his friends.  “Oh!!” shouted Naruto’s three year old son. “That’s not true” he glowered as he stared at Asuma.

“My Daddy is very strong and is Hokage” he pointed out towards naruto. He then pulled out a plastic kunai and threw it at naruto who was now looking away and not expecting this sudden attack from the toddler.

Asuma threw his plastic shuriken at naruto at that moment too ready to run.
Both toys bounced off him harmlessly and landed in the dirt.  The boys ran for their lives as naruto picked up the toys and chased them up the road.  Hinata was a little shocked as she was left with her two friends.
Temari smiled as she watched them run up the hill.
Naruto caught Asuma at once, due to the fact he had started walking instead as he found running too energy consuming. Naruto’s son had bounced back quickly to save his friend.  Naruto got hit a few times by small tanned fists and was currently being piled on by both boys.

“See weak, all they want to do is roll around in dirt” came a sudden comment from behind the adults.
They turned around to find a shy Hana and  happy looking Hatsune, She was smiling as she took off with Hana following suit.  Hana’s purple-black hair swished as she ran faster.
“My mum said the only reason men are alive is for lawn care and vehicle maintenance” they heard her tell Hana as they ran towards the Deer’s further down the field, which were drinking from the river.

Shikamaru looked at Temari.  “What?” she loudly said.  “Your mother told me” she smirked at shikamaru.  “I know she did but why’d you tell Hatsune that lie?” he said snaking his arm around his wife’s waist.
“So she would end up like me, of course” temari answered simply.   Shikamaru smiled and kissed her gently. “I wouldn’t want it any other way” he said in her ear.  
Temari found Hinata blushing violently at the scene they had just made in front of her.
Hinata looked at her boys trying to look like she hadn’t seen.  Naruto ran down from the road in front of the group and smooched Hinata making her tip backwards. “Ewwwwwww!!” came shouts of disgust from behind him.

  Asuma had a hold of naruto’s white coat and Takumi sat on his father’s back trying to pull Naruto away from Hinata.
Naruto pulled away slowly.  “I love you!” he said softly. “Where did that come from?” asked shikamaru watching naruto with a smirk. “Well, I saw you two making out in front of my woman, so I figured I come down here and make her feel loved.” “You’re so thoughtful” temari remarked grabbing shikamarus bum and squeezing it.  A blush spread over his face as naruto started laughing.  “Mum please...” came a mumbled cry from Asuma. Everyone laughed but stopped abruptly as screams came from down the path.  Temari was off right behind Hinata as they spotted the girls surrounded by Deer.  Shikamaru burst into the group of animals and found Hatsune and Hana huddled together wide eyed and fearful tears streaming down their faces.  

The Deer’s took off as Naruto finally caught up with the boys.  Hana’s Lavender eye’s found her father and she pulled herself and Hatsune up out of the ankle deep water.  “What happened?!” whispered temari as she rested a hand on Hatsune’s head.  
Hatsune now looked embarrassed as she put her bottom lip out in defiance. “Nothing, just slip-“but she was rudely interrupted by Hana who was still shaken. “A really ugly toad came out of nowhere!” she shouted at naruto.  
“He jumped at us when we lifted that rock looking for fish!” her small pale hand shot out and pointed to a rock with bits of frog eggs stuck to it.  
Everyone was relived for a few seconds. “A toad?” said Asuma smirking at his sister.  His laughter filled the field and was quickly joined by everyone else except the two girls.  Hatsune picked up her doll and looked at them all.  She smiled a little finally understanding the humor of the situation.

The temperature had dropped and rain could be smelled on the wind. The four bided Farwell to Naruto, Hinata and their children as they made their way back home.  “A frog” came a soft giggle from above shikamaru.
His son had rested his hands on his father’s ponytail flattening it down as he rode high on his shoulders. Hatsune smirked up at him. “Yeah” she answered walking in front of her family smugly. Temari leaned on shikamarus shoulder.
  “I guess we are all weak at some point” she whispered to herself.  “Yeah” came the soft reply from her husband.
